On Friday 17 February, English Serenata launches its new CD Love Letters at Hillers Bistro and Garden Cafe, surrounded by the fields, market gardens and apple orchards of Shakespeare Country. After hot mulled wine and canapes, the musicians, actors and record producer are celebrating with a meal, joined by guests and sponsors. Even if snow is forecast, the atmosphere at Hillers promises to be warm and cheering! There will be live music and Jeffery Dench, a patron of the ensemble, has promised us a short tribute to Churchill.
Love Letters was first performed at the Bromsgrove Festival in 2010, when it was commissioned by Festival Director Mary White, who is one of the ensemble’s guests of honour on Friday.
